ABOUT AIKYAM 2:0 – STATE-LEVEL LEGAL AID FEST

The Legal Aid Centre of ILS Law College introduced the Legal Aid Fest in the year 2022 to mark the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The main idea behind the fest was to create awareness on socio-legal themes in a creative way. The fest encouraged participation of college students, from all faculties, across Pune district to showcase their talents and create consciousness about the various issues in the society.  In pursuance of the same, this year we are all set to welcome the fest in its second edition at the State level and a brand new theme.

Broad theme: MEDIA AND SOCIAL CHANGE

In India where we believe in ‘Unity in Diversity’ media play a significant role. Media, a mirror of our society, reflects the true ethos of democracy. In this land of diversity, media, apart from being a medium of entertainment, also provides an avenue to express opinions and make people socially and politically aware. Media helps us understand and respect pluralism and dissent.

“Aikyam” denotes unity and this year, in our centenary year, we take this opportunity in celebrating these feelings of unity and togetherness by recognizing the role and importance of Media and its contribution for social change.
