Women’s Studies Center, ILS Law College, in collaboration with the Department of Law, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, has proposed to organize a Course “Women, Gender and Law” from 15th to 25th January 2024. The course timings are – 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm. Students from UNSW, Australia will be coming to ILS to participate in this course.
The Course will cover various Feminist Theories and application of these theories to issues such as violence against women, marriage and family, sex selective abortion, surrogacy, LGBTIQ, political participation, economic empowerment etc. The course also has component of field visit which will be organized during the same period.
Assessment will be based on Assignment (80 marks) and Class participation (20 marks). A joint certificate from ILS and UNSW will be awarded on successfully completing the Course. The students must attend 100% classes and field visits. Certificate will be given only if all the components are complied with (All Classes, Field Visits and Assignment).
Dr. Christine Forster, Dr. Jaya Sagade along with guest faculty are the facilitators.
Seats are limited. ONLY 20 STUDENTS from ILS will be selected.
Fees for the Course – Rs. 6000/- only. (Inclusive of reading material, tea during the course and field visit.)
